Supporting the Future of Aviation
Paris Air believes in the power of aviation and the impact it has on the individuals involved as well as the general public. The civil aviation industry as a whole generates $850 billion in economic activity. General aviation supports over 1.1 million jobs and contributes $247 billion to the U.S. economy.
The airline industry, in particular, is rapidly growing. From 2006 to 2022, global passenger air traffic experienced a growth rate of 18 percent. Worldwide commercial airline revenue is $472 billion.
In 2019, there were 333,000 pilots in the commercial airline industry and 691,700 total pilots in 2020.
What all those big numbers mean is actually quite simple: there is a large demand for commercial airline pilots today. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of airline and commercial pilots is expected to experience a six percent growth from 2021 to 2031, with a projected 18,100 job openings every year. Furthermore, over the next 20 years, North America will need approximately 130,000 additional pilots. This means that flight training schools like Paris Air are critical to the future of aviation and training the next generation of pilots.
Through our flight training, charter operations, and fixed base operation, we are supporting the future of the aviation industry.
